Two Footprints in the Sand
Shortly before she died, Kay, an elderly widow, began sponsoring one of our older children through her nursing training. Meanwhile, we were trying very hard, against all odds, to raise the funds to start building our children’s home. We’d reached the foot of what seemed a very high mountain.
To our utter amazement and deep gratitude, a solicitor’s letter arrived at exactly the right moment to say that Kay had sadly passed away but left our charity with, unbeknown to her, exactly the right we needed to cover the building costs.
So, in fact, Kay had left two footprints – a qualified nurse serving her community and a lovely home for our orphans and other children in dire need.
