Thank you for your interest in our Annual General Meeting 2022
It successfully went ahead on Saturday 8th October at St Luke’s Church, Watford, and it was wonderful to see so many of our supporters there. Thank you to everyone who attended, especially as there were a number of traffic difficulties on route, we are so pleased that you persevered and we hope you found it really informative and worthwhile.
This was our welcome message from Philemon:
To those of you who were unable to make it…
we recorded all of the presentations and these are available to view on YouTube at the following link:

Saturday 8th October, 2pm – 4.30pm at St Luke’s Church, Watford
This AGM is special for us because it is the first time that we have been able to hold it in person since 2019 before the pandemic!
We are so looking forward to coming together and meeting as many of you as possible. Whether you currently support the work of Kisumu Children Trust (KCT) or would just like to hear all about our work, you are most welcome. We will have an agenda of presentations, pictures and videos to show you what has been happening over the last year and we hope you will be able to hear from some of our staff in Kisumu too so they can tell you first hand what impact the work of KCT is having in their community.
Our Agenda will be as follows:
- A warm welcome to all
- Introduction to the new chair
- Introduction to our newest trustees
- Changes at Cherry Brierley Children’s Home (CBCH) in the past 3 years and what the future holds
- A report on our Annual accounts
- Development projects at TiPS in 2021/22
- An update on our sponsorship programme
- An update on promotional and fundraising efforts through 2022
- Prayer of thanksgiving and commitment
The meeting will start at 2pm and finish around 4.30pm although we would then like to spend some time chatting together at the end over a cup of tea and some cake! We are aware that Covid still presents uncertainty which we acknowledge and respect so we will do our utmost to provide well-spaced seating and you are, of course, very welcome to wear a face mask whilst attending.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held at St Luke’s Church, Langley Way, Watford WD17 3EG, but if you are unable to attend then we are aiming to live stream the meeting on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/kisumuchildren so you can still tune in although it will be the first time we have done this so please bear with us!
