We can see a miracle! The new kitchen and dining room at Tieng’re Comprehensive School is almost ready to be used. The kitchen will provide meals for 1000 undernourished and poverty-stricken children.
Nutritious meals help children grow healthy and achieve better results at school. A nourishing diet is so important for brain development. It helps children build strong bones and muscles, reduces the risk of mental health disorders, and maintains their energy levels and concentration, which allows them to learn. Research shows that a good diet is connected to better school achievements. Students who had breakfast in the morning had better grades, test scores, and memory.
When we compare the old kitchen to the new one, our hearts are full of thanksgiving. It is hard to imagine that in this old shed, cooks tried to prepare 1000 meals. Previously, there was no dining room; children ate outside (in all weather conditions, including rain).
God answered the prayers, and one of the generous KCT supporters provided funds for the entire building (the
kitchen and dining room).

For many years Alice, retiring head teacher of Tieng’re Primary/Junior Secondary School, has longed for a functional kitchen to provide lunch for her 1000 undernourished and poverty-stricken children.
The Architect, George, built a very solid brick-walled kitchen with concrete foundations. It will have a quality roof, a large tank to collect rainwater, and a good floor and wall finish with electricity and plumbing.
A Dream Comes True!
